I'm headed to the Indianapolis International Airport today to pick up the wife. She has been gone to Seattle for the last week visiting her son and his family.
I noticed in the news that the bill to allow 18-21 year olds to drive interstate may be getting some traction. I will have to keep an eye on it. I'm adding more phone numbers of companies that are looking for drivers. Start calling around if you need a new trucking job. See you on the road!

Today I am going live at 1pm Eastern so be sure to be there! I am considering doing special live shows that would be training where we talk about a specific topic like On-Duty time or some such thing. What do you think about that? Let me know. I'll see you live shortly!
I have been seeing many videos lately on YouTube of drivers posting their paychecks. They are saying they made a certain amount, generally a large amount. You don't see people posting $300 checks! I don't mind that. The problem I have with it is some of these drivers are suggesting that if you don't make some large amount you are a loser or not doing good in trucking. I'm here to tell you, that's simply not true. Many drivers write to me and tell me they have a dedicated route that gets them home or they do a certain thing at their company because of the schedule. They take home less for some other benefit. If you have a couple of little kids at home you may not want to be gone for 4 weeks at a time.
Don't try to keep up with anyone. Never compare what you make to them. Are you happy at your job? Do they treat you like the professional you are and give you the home time you want and need? I think that is worth something. Also, I have generally found the people that brag the most about what they make or have generally don't have any money. Keep that in mind. See you on the road. Its Wednesday and that means the CRAP company of the week will be coming out soon. Who will it be? Watch Trucking Answers on YouTube to find out! Remember, I don't want that to discourage anyone from getting into the trucking industry. Its a great career and it will continue to be. If the worst company out there is the only one that will hire you, go there and get some experience. That is what you need to get your career started. See you on the road!
Ok, so I have contact info posted. I hope this saves you some time when you are looking for a job. New drivers, just start calling. Most of the places will hire you. See you on the road!
It never fails. We were having a nice chat and Xfinity failed me. I apologize to everyone but the internet crashed and I had to reset it. I try to do these during the day when less people are on the internet here but what can I say?
Thank you everyone for being on for as long as I could hold the internet. It really humbles me that anyone watches the channel. I am trying to put out information for drivers to help all of us get treated like professionals and stay free of tickets by knowing the regulations. See you on the road! Well, you all asked for it so here it is! I now have a website that I will be building out to help new and experienced drivers make more money and stay legal. This all started with an idea I had to start a YouTube channel. Crazy where that has gone in just a year. Well, let me know what you think and more to come. See you on the road!

AuthorHi! Welcome. I'm Mark and I've been a professional truck driver for over 33 years, the last 19 years at the same company. It is time that drivers got paid for every minute that we work and we are treated like the licensed professionals we are. Archives
