I found this huge piece of metal in a trailer tire while doing a post-trip inspection, which is logged on-duty time. How would you find this if you didn't actually take the time to look over your equipment? Now, this was 220am so it took some time to get someone out to replace it. My company pays all breakdown time from the time you call them until you are fixed and ready to roll again so that is a good thing. Still annoying for sure. I post this because it is a common thread in the comments about doing a pre-trip and post-trip. You should do both. Always, no excuses. Furthermore, they are logged on-duty time.
See you on the road!
