The Wall Street Journal recently reported that revenue for carriers is rising at between 9 and 20% from the same time last year. So, why aren't drivers realizing some of this money? Although many companies are raising pay, drivers still sit with any compensation for hours at a time. What is the solution? Stop doing it. Drivers aren't being paid because we don't demand to be paid. Look, these companies are experiencing record revenue per mile so don't let them bamboozle you into thinking there is time that should not be paid. Demand to be paid or stop working there. I am convinced that is the only solution. Many places do pay for all of our time so stop thinking that your time isn't worth anything.
See you on the road!
